Celebrating
Christmas
We used to look forward
to Christmas,
That joyful time of the year.
But never did we start to celebrate,
Over a month before it was here.
Now even before Thanksgiving,
Christmas is everywhere.
On the radio, in all the stores,
Christmas carols fill the air.
When Christmas Eve is
finally here,
It's not that much of a pleasure.
We all just open up our gifts.
Not a memorable Christmas to treasure.
There's nothing we can
do to change,
This modern trend that's here.
So MERRY CHRISTMAS, everyone,
And a JOYOUS PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR.
