The First of Spring...a two minute poem

The sun filters through Spanish Moss to chase the chill away
Then shadows of a derelect cloud cedes to golden rays
Spring has blossomed once again...when new buds open up
When little fists collect the smiles of yellow buttercups
The valley's green in lime array seems like a mattress soft
When picnics lay all sprawled out and kites flip aloft
When cabin fever's just a thought and rosy cheeks attest
That Spring has sprung and brought with her all her very best
Colors and aromas...brightness for miles and miles
Energies all bared and tanned with laughter and wee smiles.
