Night Blooms

Beyond the door that has been closed
When his dew upon this rose
Comes like fairies in the night
His form will ease into my sight
His body ladened upon repose
Gentle nested within this rose
Opened up as reds turn light
When cardinals flutter in this night
The songs emerge to touch the air
And he taste the petals there
Then passion speaks and lips croon
Slowly wakening...the night blooms.
