Heart to Hearts
His attention is changing her with bated breaths she seem to be
More inclined to provoke this jealous part that inhales...tokes
The deeper senses of the mind...the only woman of this kind
Who brushes by this lonely man and takes his heart into her hands
Then tries to deem each beated throb...a shaken voice of silent sobs
He is hers and not to be...the answer to your whim..."can he?"
The man...the one...the smile that breaks...the fine line of a bearded face
A mustache keen and dark with years...a signature that drapes his tears
He hides behind his darkened hairs...she notices the hidden years
The ones that she too compliments...his lines and off-beat witted sense
The tempt to secrete hidden woes of years that went with naught to show
The marriage of a woeful one and years still vacant...dead and gone
They want to realign their stars and reach for distant cures...so far
He sees it in her eyes...the hues...the deeped navy...lighter blues
He wets his lips and smiles so sweet...a nervous passion speeds their beat
His fingers cup a tender cheek and lips crack open and heaven speaks
She adores each sensuous display...like pheasants...colored...rainbowed ways
He etches each delicate line...to keep within his book of time
She freezes his image there...within her thoughts...with no despair
He takes a step...embraces shoulders...kisses her and shutters...smolder
She weaves her fingers through his hair and finds a wonder hidden there
He is a male of great reward for her who desperately needs this card
To win a hand for love...in life...away from years of boring strife
To keep this one in chest of dreams and walk away when their souls beam
He promises to return...the heavy heart that weeps and yearns
For yesterday she cried...he heard...the call of each and every word
He faced the same darkened gloom that reached for him in lonely rooms
Given back these passions lost...kisses tender...a heart is caught
Take a headlight down this street and open souls to let them beat
Keep it tied in gentle twists...dream a dream in heavens mist
Take this place...him in her...Take these hearts and let them purr
Don't judge these two...who over years...tried to make their love appear
Justified to strangers hearts...when marriage fails...and newness starts
Don't tattle fire...embrace the smiles...that live each day...mile for mile
Then watch with glory...give them room...when love takes off and echoes boom
When every tense...exotic touch...when all else pale and hearts erupt.
