Counterfeit Words

Counterfeit words...spoken to buy,
Love of a woman...friendship to ply.
All her doors open...time on his side,
Verbiage of poetry...lined with thick hide.
A wolf in sheep's clothing waiting to pounce...
Grazing so quietly, grasshoppers bounce,
And gives this fair warning to keep the door closed...
Lest hearts that are weeping should weep even more.
Forewarned is better than broken up souls,
For now sit and ponder and close all your pores.
Call in the sentries that guard spirit's door...
Take in the flag of truce that once hung,
Give up the search...for now...call it done!
