Broken Promises and Shattered Dreams

Broken promises
and shattered dreams
Life is not always the way
we want it to be

Broken hearts
and wounded souls
Life can be tough
lonely and cold

Tear stained faces
eyes that have cried
Life is hardly
an easy ride

Life is not always
a dream come true
but there is always something better
waiting for you

So keep your chin up
and hold your head high
hearts can mend
and broken wings heal to fly

Broken promises
and shattered dreams
now a part of the past
and all that it means
