Anticipation

I'm wondering what will happen
when I see you again
Do you know how many years,
just how long it's been?

I'm wondering what I'll say to you
when you knock at my door
Should I greet you with a hug
or just a little bit more?

I always thought that I would know
just the right words to say
I thought I would be calm and cool
but my anticipation got its way.

Now I'm at a total loss of words
I don't know what I'll do
All that I do know is
how much I still love you!
