California Man

The light in his voice
Lifts my spirit.
The twinkle in his eye
Pounds my heart.
The softness of his touch
Melts my rock walls,
Tumbling quickly toward the unknown.
I try to hold down,
To hold back,
To protect a lock never seen,
Never felt manly heart.
Though I know- he holds the key.
