Gentle Winds of Change
As the sun arises and
warms the earth,
I travel my way to this day yet to be.
Gentle winds brush my hair and mind
As I wonder "Why?" and what to see.
Seems all in life has
gone wrong,
Inspirations and hope now long gone.
Life just isn't right in this early light,
Yet the gentle winds caress me again.
As the air moves over
my face,
Peace slips in without a trace.
For you see, I am reminded again,
Of friends who care are for me.
One special person has
cracked the door.
The door I have kept locked all these years,
Now beginning to slide ever so slowly.
I tremble at the thought he will open my door.
Temptation and fear
blending into one,
For this man at my door knows not,
Yet knows more each time we meet.
The gentle winds whisper
be not afraid,
Just let it be.
