I Did it Again

I seldom ever vociferate
I like to discombobulate
Both words and thoughts
And if I get caught
I often tend to self-flaggelate

The robber at the door was packin' heat
But soon he had to retreat
I knocked him silly
'Twas our neighbor Billy
I later recalled "trick or treat!"

He punched the baseman in the eye
Ran to second and was asked "Why?"
"It's simple" he burst
"Our coach at first
Gave me the hit and run sign!"

Round pegs had a man and he tried
To put them in a square not as wide
He kept trying to squeeze
More rounds in it seems
Like golfers who won't be denied
