The Trade

Two marbles and a paper clip,
For one old matchbox car,
A yo-yo for a model ship,
I thought "so good so far."
I will give you these three comic books.
And you give me your kite.
If you will throw in those fishing hooks,
Then okay, I just might.
We made the trade and sealed the pact,
And followed strict conventions,
By shaking hands we would spit upon,
To show our pure intentions.
