Love Is

Love can be a noble thing,
But sometimes it's a crock.
Sometimes it's a diamond ring
Sometimes a dirty sock.

Love can fill an empty room,
And love can sure ring bells.
Sometimes love's a sweet perfume,
But sometimes it just smells.

Love can make you jump for joy,
And make you feel so lucky.
Sometimes it's like a brand new toy
At other times it's yucky.

Your up, your down, your up, your down,
First happy, then depressed.
You smile, you frown, you smile, you frown,
'Til your worn out from the stress.

For love is like a sunny day,
Or dark as the bottom of a well.
Love can chase the blues away
Or make your nights pure hell.

Love brings the sun, and love brings rain,
It can even bring you laughter.
And for all its joys and all its pain,
'Tis love that we're all after.
