Desire

Stiff,
flushed,
burning,
clawing at the visions in my mind,
hot in pursuit,
borne on winds
of a storm of long neglect,
frantically fighting
to fill a hollow of long desire.

Head long rush
to regain a calm,
rising,
rising to touch the blue
above the thunder clouds.

Falling to earth as rain
I glisten for the moment
in the cool damp of release
even as the breeze stirs around me
and the thunder in the distance
is closing again.
