I Fear the Night

I fear the night,
not the darkness,
not the shadows that run from the moonbeams,
searching light but the evil of the moments,
of their eternity that creeping hand of time,
extending, unrelenting.
I fear the night Not the Quiet,
Not the stillness.
that should bring me the comfort
Of my security,
of my sleep.
But the thoughts,
of the Raven,
of the kiss the Raging dreams,
of her passion of her eyes,
of her love I fear the night,
not its coming,
not its going,
the wish for love,
for dreams,
for Romance,
But the unknowing of her distance,
of her absence that she may never really be,
in my arms,
as I dream,
in the night.
