Unselfish Love

Out of the distance from so far away,
Travels a love to a broken heart that has gone astray.
As delicate as the soft cooing of an angel's wings,
A warm feeling of comfort it gently brings.
With so much power and a thunderous call,
It knocks down a towering wall with no trouble at all.
An empowering force has entered and taken control,
With only intentions to tenderly console.
Erasing each name on every scar found within,
Now is the time for the healing to begin.
Sunshine has reached the depths of darkness,
All that can be felt is true love and kindness.
A gift of love has been given without a second thought,
With hopes of a coming salvation it has brought.
Lost dreams and hopes have finally come true,
No more hours of loneliness or days of blue.
Life has a new meaning and a reason for living,
All from a love that has been so unselfishly given.
