Nostalgia

Nostalgia Like a hollow wind blowing
in the thickened ink of night
your voice haunts my presence
murmuring lines from our forgotten rendezvous
when drunk on happiness you kissed me
Kissed me fully
Fed with desire and the madness of a scorned lover
Yet, you held me with such tenderness--
as though I were a newborn babe
still crimson and dripping
The night was exuberant (as were we!)
So rich with each other
So full Nostalgia
I cherish the time
we may once again
be virgin with one another
