Visions in the Snow
A vast stretch of rolling land, patches of tall trees.
Mother Nature rains down a large bucket of snow.
So perfectly and smoothly blanketing over it with ease.
The imperfections of and on the land lay now all aglow.
Fresh new snow is a sight quite beautiful.
White and pure, smooth and satiny.
Gently and innocently it navigates it's stole.
Across the lay of this land of sea.
The bright cheerful sun spreads it's rays out.
Like a protective veil of warmth and love.
Casting shadowy reflections about.
Through the trees which tower in the distance above.
The snow comes to life, sparkling and twinkling.
Like a prism of transparent confetti.
You can hear in it the merriment of small children singing.
The song of the birds in complete harmony.
Despite the cold the snow brings to your world,
You actually want to be there, looking at it.
You want to touch it, but to do so would surely disturb,
the awesome vision before your eyes that does set.
Time surely passes, though, just enough...
To allow some of that beauty you once saw
to dissipate, become stale, spoiled, trampled and rough.
Not the same anymore from what you recall.
What before made you only experience, see and feel
so warm and wonderful the beauty before you
now only shows you a new version of real
The coldness, hardship and pain it can bring too.
You forget the vision that once was upon you.
You forget how truly wonderful it made you feel.
You don't realize that it does still exist, but in lieu.
That you've not really lost this thing of appeal.
With every new day, there comes new hopes, new beginnings...
For a shower of fresh new snow now sprinkles the land,
Creating and exposing a character of all new things,
A chance to start over, to create a new plan.
The ugliness and unpleasantness that was before.
The prior spoiling of the old now all anew.
Rough edges and harsh lines gently caressed and reborn.
Smoothed out to present a new perspective for you.
A fresh new look, a new perspective.
New beginnings for you to grasp onto.
A new opportunity for you to create and rejoice in.
A new vision in the snow now, made just for you.
