Grandpa's Hungry

Grandpa would sometimes stop by.
Hungry,
he'd search the kitchen
to see what he could find.
I once told him:
"That's my mama's asparagus,
And that's my daddy's last piece of pie!"
He gave me a cussin' - said,
"Now it's mine!"
From that day on I never said a word
When my granda came by
To see what he could find.
